Special Notice 7/22
Hi members and friends,
This is essentially a business status update from the PNWA regarding our summertime activities. We hope you all made it safely through the Independence Day celebrations and now face nearly a full summer’s worth of pleasurable activities.
No Potluck at this time. The midday potluck that we had scheduled for July 9 will not be held. We will try to schedule it later, perhaps in the fall.
No Monthly Member Meetings this summer. Monthly members’ business meetings for July and August have been canceled. The next such meeting will be held on Thursday, September 8. We will, of course, have a detailed announcement prior to that date.
Informal Tuesday Carving Sessions continued. PNWA is undergoing a not unusual seasonal slowdown. However, this is in no way foretelling a reduction of enthusiasm for the club and its mission. The informal Tuesday afternoon carving sessions will continue to be held in the Gordon Day barn from 12:00 N. to 3:00 PM each Tuesday of the month. These sessions are an invaluable source of sound technical counseling, good fellowship with your kindred carvers plus always some good treats and hot coffee. All members of PNWA are invited to attend and to bring a guest if you wish.
Happy Carving: Whether we see you each and every Tuesday or not until our scheduled September 8 meeting, we urge you to keep up your efforts to turn ordinary wood into useful and beautiful possessions. See you then.
Sincerely yours, Bob Caldwell, Secretary, PNWA
